The historical Batiscan bridge built in 1920. It is named “Pont de Batiscan” (Batiscan bridge). Fair enough… This is one of those memorable structures. I have a particular affection for bridges of that type. Sadly the bridge is slated for demolition.
When you drive on this bridge you can hear your tires rolling on it. The reason is that the road surface is made of some kind of hollow metallic honey comb. Keeps you from having to plough the bridge I guess as the tires just push the snow down the river. This is my theory.
